WINGS OF LYCAEIDES: 2005 EXHIBITION
Cape Cod Museum of Art

wingscover6.jpg

The story of Lycaeides was visually inspired by the roof-tops of Paris. Thematically, it is a story of rebuilding. After the loss of her wings, a young tree-sprite can no longer fly. She is earth-bound and manipulated by sinister forces. In her quest to rebuild her wings, she discovers the power to "fly again" resides in the ultimate challenge - the hidden corners of believing in one's self.
